Why Python is the Program for YOU!
Uncategorised • 7th Jul, 15
Why is it that in 2015 we are still coming across questions on forums and message boards asking if Python is worth learning as a programming language? If you were well-informed, heck, even if you were ‘moderately-informed’ you’d know off hand the importance of Python and its usage across the programming board. Python has so revolutionized the programming world that the language has become the most popular introductory teaching language at most top universities around the globe.
The open source scripting language has been compared to learning Latin, or another romantic language and is even used by MIT, one of the world’s top universities, as its Introduction to Computer Science Course. Best of all, once someone grasps the logic behind Python, the concepts may be easier transferred to other languages. Back to answering the rather puerile question we, for some reason, still come across online – “is learning Python worthwhile?”
The short answer …
Used everywhere from Scientific and Numeric to Web Programming, Python as you can see above is the leading edge in program language. Companies like Google, YouTube, Quora, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit, Redhat and more all utilize Python, resulting in it becoming one of the most popular and powerful coding languages of 2014:
Those proficient in the program language may look forward to a giant increase and demand for Python linguist in practically every IT market and industry – and the demand continues to grow.
Based on analytsis in July 2014 from Philip Guo of www.pgbovine.net, findings prove that throughout 39 U.S. Computer Science Departments teaching various languages in introductory courses, Python maintains the top spot as the most used through all.
Backed up by squeaky clean syntax the great skill of Python programming will boost any budding and professional linguist in 2015 and beyond!
So hopefully, this clears up the obtuse query about the usefulness of Python programming. As further endorsement, check out our roster of top front-end and back-end web developers at Symfony who are all professional and fluent Python linguists.
